This pack INCLUDES 4 1700mAh GP rechargeable nimh AA batteries, along with a pack which plugs directly into your Archos. You can also use regular alkaline AA batteries, if you need lots of playback time quick and just want to buy a lot of alkalines to take on a trip, etc. Just plug in the pack to the DC jack when your Archos' internal battery is running low, turn on the switch on the box, and you'll get:

Double the playback time for the following models:
Multimedia 10, 20, 120, AV100, AV120, AV140, AV300, AV320, AV340, AV380

and 50-70% more playback time for the following models:
704, AV400, AV420, AV440, AV480, AV4100, PMA400, PMA430, AV500, AV530, AV560, AV5100, Archos 104 and ALL GMINI MODELS
